FREQAT LLC is proud to announce the successful finalization of Marine Research Surveys for the strategic Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Fiber Optic Cable Project across the Caspian Sea.
This critical infrastructure project, which connects Sumgayit (Azerbaijan) and Aktau (Kazakhstan), is being developed under the supervision of the key client, Huadong Engineering Corporation. It stands as a cornerstone of the wider “Digital Silk Way” initiative, establishing a vital high-speed, low-latency digital corridor between Europe and Asia.

Acting by order of and as an integral member of the ALLSTREAM consortium, alongside Advanced Geo Solutions and Dubai-based A-Nergy Services FZCO, FREQAT LLC was responsible for delivering the essential operational and logistical components required for the marine survey phase.
Our specialized scope of work included:
• Marine Operations: Execution and professional oversight of all at-sea activities, ensuring maximum efficiency, precision, and safety throughout the survey period.
• Vessel Mobilization: Expert sourcing, rigorous preparation, and timely deployment of necessary specialized vessels and equipment required for the extensive seabed research.
• Permissions & Compliance: Securing all required regulatory and regional clearances, coupled with effective management of local stakeholder coordination to ensure seamless and fully compliant project execution across the operating area.
By successfully managing the complex logistics and marine operational framework, FREQAT LLC ensured the ALLSTREAM consortium could acquire the detailed seabed mapping and coastal data necessary to determine the shortest, safest, and most environmentally sustainable route for this strategic subsea cable.
